The cap of the hoodoo is a Dakota Sandstone which was a beach of an incoming seaway, is 100 million years old. The post of the hoodoo is Entrada Sandstone, dating 160 million years old. The hoodoos come in all shapes and sizes and can be reached by hiking along Wahweap Creek.
