When heading out for adventure in Southern Utah it’s easy to pick the more popular locations such as; Cedar City, St. George, or Zion National Park. However, missing out on everything offered in and around Red Cliffs Recreation Area in Leeds, UT would be a mistake!
Set up for your stay in Red Cliffs Campground. With 10 campsites within beautiful canyon walls of classic southern Utah red-rock. A small stream emerges through the campground and there are hiking, fishing, and picnic opportunities.
Once you’re set up and ready to go set out on the Red Reef Trail! This hike is a relatively easy 1.44 mile ending in a natural pool with a rope attached to climb past it, and a popular repelling spot just past it. While the trail is short the scenery is phenomenal!

Head to the northwest of the Red Cliffs campground.
Step back in time with a day trip to Silver Reef Ghost Town.
Silver Reef was a mining boom town in the late 1800’s with the discover of silver in sandstone (something that is quite rare). This area is now a Wild West Ghost Town with living history demonstrations, unique exhibits and some pretty incredible views.
With frequent Old West reenactments this is one pretty lively ghost town!
