Archaeology & Preservation month

Where would our national parks and monuments be without an instilled belief in preservation? Whether it’s the history of the area or the land itself, there’s something to be said about ensuring that the natural state and history of that area is protected for future generations, outside visitors, and those whose heritage it reflects.

In Utah the month of May is Archaeology and Preservation month and celebrations can be found throughout the state highlighting the importance of protecting the past. There’s no reason to only celebrate in Utah. So why not make it a priority to visit one of these sights during the month of May?
